Day 14 : 19/12/2024 : My Skill Up Journey

Intro

Welcome to Day 14 of my learning journey in Coding, Game design and languages.
For Coding, I am studying of C and JS programming languages.
For Game designing, I am creating a 2D/3D level for “plant the bomb” game objective.
And learning Japanese from Zero! and revisiting English lessons from lower-intermediate course level.

Game Design

I am reading this book called “The Art of Game Design” by Jesse Schell. Today, I completed a few topics and read about:
few topic related with giving feedback for any input/motion, The lens of Juiciness, and Channels of Information and 2 steps of it.

For 2D/3D level layout: Learned in depth about creating multiplayer level, I have understood from where and how to start prototyping my level to match the game objective here is the flow of it:

  1. Spawn points-> 2. Main pathways-> 3. Objectives-> 4. Choke points-> 5. Connecting pathways-> 6. Strategy.

Coding

JavaScript: Completed with Fish tank project as well after a long and intensive brainstorming for the code's logic.

Used two types of function:
1. DrawFish to hold shape of fish and 2. mouseClicked this function help to draw fish on mouseX and mouseY coordinates.

C: Completed Chapter 1 with accepting user input values using scanF function, Completed few practice set programs such as 1.Calculate area of rectangle, 2. Area of circle and modified to volume of circle, 3. conversion of Celsius to Fahrenheit,4. Calculate simple interest. Creating snippets in VScode application.

Languages

Japanese: Learned how to use negative sentences with nouns (not), NA adjective (not), I don't like it, I don't dislike it. The “one” pronoun. Revised all the previous content. Used Practice sheet to write all hiragana letters.

English: BBC leaning English, Course- lower intermediate
